The Lancashire Housing Partnership is appealing for community groups to bid for grants aimed at improving neighbourhoods.
The partnership, which involves six housing associations, Housing Pendle, Twin Valley Homes, Calico, Hyndburn Homes, Harvest and Community Gateway, are seeking applications for projects which would be of benefit to the local environment under the Sense of Place scheme.
Suitable schemes cover such things as building improvements and adaptations, reclaiming derelict green space, landscaping and planting, environmental projects such as seating, enhanced access and play area improvements.
It also covers funding to create car parking for the benefit of the community and updating existing buildings to either improve access or health and safety.
While there is no fixed ceiling for any one bid, generally the maximum is £10,000 but this is flexible depending on the project.
The fund only covers the capital costs and offers 50 per cent of the costs of the project. Groups can also access match funding through their own associations or any other groups.
